Alfred Dupree

Mr. Alfred Franklin Dupree, Sr., 61, of Acworth died Friday, December 19, 2014, at his residence.
Born September 23, 1953, in Cartersville, he was the son of the late Isaac "Bud" Franklin Dupree and the late Myrtle Pye Dupree. Mr. Dupree was of Christian faith and was a great father and grandfather who loved children. He was employed by Pinetree Country Club and retired after 37 years. He loved to work and could build or make anything with his hands. He loved to drag race in his younger days. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Audrey Clackum, Darlene Strickland and Doris Massingale.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Barbara Morgan Dupree of Acworth; daughter, Amy Dupree Adams and her husband Billy of Cartersville; son, Alfred Dupree, Jr. and his wife Linda of Acworth; brothers, Tommy Dupree and Jeffrey Dupree both of Acworth; sisters, Arlee Waller, Joyce Parks, Hazel Brock and her husband Alvin, all of Acworth; grandchildren, Olivia Rose Mumaugh, Angel Adams, Jack Adams, Alfred Dupree, III, Anna Dupree; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Greg Farist and Pastor Sammy Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Garden. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
