Mr. Alfred R. Fender, age 77 of 324 Fulton Road, Kingston died Tuesday evening at his
residence.
Mr. Fender was born December 20,1930 in Detroit, Michigan son of the late William Alfred and
Sarah Fender. Mr. Fender was a veteran of the United States Marines having served during the
Korean Conflict. He was a past member of the Oostanaula Masonic Lodge #113 F & AM.
Mr. Fender was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson
Bradley Duncan and a sister Wanita Costello.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Fender of Kingston; five daughters, Deborah Martin of Cedartown,
Sherrell Duvall of Kingston, Barbara Sweet of Rome, Robin King of Alma, Ga. And Belinda Fender of
Armuchee. 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and sister, Nancey Ruttman of Detroit, Michigan
also survives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 2 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the
Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. James Storey and Rev. John Lee Huffman officiating. Interment
will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Heritage Chapel
Jennings Funeral Home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Charles Allen Duvall, Russell Duncan, Jonathan Peters,
Dustin King, Jason Young and Jason Green.
