Alice Sutton

Alice Jones Sutton, 83, of Fairmount passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at her residence. Born December 1, 1927 in Gum Springs, GA she was the daughter of the late William Jones and the late Maybelle Hitt Jones. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ruel Blalock, Ruby Evans, Katee Bishop, Ruth Garland, Irene Moss, Elton Jones, and W.A. Jones.



Alice was employed as a seamstress for EZ Mills. She was a member of the Hinton Baptist Church and was an American Red Cross Volunteer for many years.



Survivors include her husband, Dillard Sutton; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and B.R. Roberts; her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Tina Sutton; her sister, Christine Cagle Scoggins; and her granddaughter and her husband, Kristen and Chris Williams.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, in Rydal, with Brother Bobby Segars, and Brother Eugene Childres officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.



In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery Fund.
