Allen Knight

Mr. Allen Ray Knight, age 51, of 813 Billy Pyle Rd., Rome passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2004 at a local hospital.Mr. Knight was born in Dayton, Tennessee on March 11, 1953, the son of the late Melvin Knight and Kathleen Calvin Knight. He loved hunting and fishing, working with cars and shooting his gun. Mr. Knight was employed by the Rome City Water Department. He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife Rosie Silvers Knight; one son, Benjamin Allen Knight of Cedartown, GA;three step son, Robert Allen Hudgens of Euharlee, GA, David Ray Hudgens of Rome, GA and Timothy Lynn Allen of Rome, GA; one daughter, Miranda Dawn Knight of Cedartown, GA; nine sisters, Crystal Richards of Cedartown, Bobbie Isom, Rita Puryear, Patsy Vandiver, Carolyn Wade, Teresa Smith, Regina Knight, Nancy Nelson and Rhonda McCord all of Rome, GA; two grandchildren, Allainah Hudgens of Euharlee, GA and D.J. Hudgens of Calhoun, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.The funeral services for Mr. Knight will be held at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home at 11:00, Wednesday, March 24th with Rev. Jamie Killinger officiating.
