Allen Wood

Mr. Allen Frazier Wood, 62, of Cartersville, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born May 23, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Hubert Wood and Dorothy Sowers Wood.

Mr. Wood was a millwright by trade and was a machinist and welder. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandpa. He was a generous and loving man who never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Dusty "Buba" Bell.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Brenda Sue Bell of Cartersville; his children, Allen Jr. Wood (Rachael) of Batavia, Ohio, Bethanie Igo (Mike) of New Richmond, Ohio; his stepchildren, Jamie Bell (Susan), Donnie Bell (Stacey), Kristi Bell (Jeremy), Brandon Bell, Chrystal Bennett Thompson (Damond), Vincent White; his grandchildren, Bailey, Sam and Harper Wood, Luke Igo, Addison, Shawn, Katie, Dusty and Brandon Bell, Billy, Todd (Chelsea) Bell, Ashely and Joshua Carnes, Tay, Cameron and Vincent White Jr.; his great-grandchildren, Allex Armstrong, Jayce Pahl, Kallee Bell and Harley Bell; a special friend, Gail Leatherwood.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
