Alma Dover

July 17, 1920 — March 13, 2009

Alma Hill Dover, 88, of Dallas, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Wellstar Paulding Nursing Home. Born July 17, 1920 in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Jim Hill and the late Maude Lee Hill. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husbands, Clarence Dover and Clarence Bennett; her sons, Jimmy Lee Dover and Bobby Gene Dover; her grandson, Johnny Michael Dover; and her great � granddaughter, Sharley Dover.



Mrs. Dover was a member of Woffords Crossroads Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking, music and going to dances. She had retired from Red Top Mountain State Park where she worked as a housekeeping supervisor.



Survivors include her son, Johnny Dover of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Sandra Williams, Shane Dover, Pamela Hoffman, Greg Dover, Dwayne Dover, Daryl Dover, and Christy Dover; thirteen great � grandchildren; and a special first cousin, Telete Cloud.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Lane Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Williams, Shane Dover, Howard Cloud, Greg Dover, Dewayne Dover and Daryl Dover. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Byars and Chris Byars. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. on Monday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
