Mrs. Alma Mae Knight, age 77, of 403 Wilkerson rd. Rome, Georgia, passed away December 31, 2006 at Cherokee Medical Center.
Mrs. Knight was born in Floyd County on July 29, 1929, the daughter of the late Dave Simpson and Lottie Sutton Simpson. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, William Knight, to whom she was married October 29, 1955. Also, Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Simpson, Jr.
Survivors include three brothers, Jack (Judy) Simpson, Rome, Wayne (Christine) Simpson, Gaylesville, AL and Earl (Lucille) Simpson, Gaylesville, AL; three sisters, Janet (Jack) Renfroe, Gaylesville, AL, Joann(Jodean) Smith, Rome and Nelta (Douglas) Wood, Alexanderia, AL; one sister-in-law, Catherine Simpson, Centre, AL
The family will received friends Monday evening, January 01, 2007 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held today (Tuesday) January 02, 2007 at 3:30 pm at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chuck Griffin officiating.
