Mr. Alton Brooks Parker, Jr., 77, of Kennesaw, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Wellstar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain.
Born March 21, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Dr. Alton Brooks Parker, Sr., and the late Helen Elizabeth Mixon Parker. Mr. Parker was a United States Navy veteran and a retired train engineer with EJ&E Railway.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Sandra Stiles-Parker; daughters, Helen Elisabeth Confredo of Seattle, WA, and Doris Charlotte Spoerner and her husband Mark of Phoenix, AZ; son, Dr. Alton Brooks Parker, III and his wife Susan of Anderson, IN; sister, Betsy Baker of Canton; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams Street NW, Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30303 in memory of Mr. Parker.
