Angela Alred

Mrs. Angela Cecile Alred, 56, passed away Thursday, January 09, 2014 at her residence following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born August 7, 1957 in Trion, Georgia , she was the daughter of the late Cecil Guy Edwards and the late Doris Alene Powell Edwards.
Mrs. Alred was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she was active in her beloved Sunday School Class. She was a very devoted and loving mother, wife, and "Mammy". She loved to cook for her family and felt her grandchildren were always the best medicine. Angela led by example and was a fighter and a very strong woman who at last has "Won the Fight".
Survivors include her husband of thirty seven years, David Alred of Cartersville; her daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Shane Eubanks of Cartersville; her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Diane Bruce Alred of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Harper Cole Eubanks and Madelyn Rose Eubanks; her sister, Amber Edwards of Rome; along with two brothers, Tony Edwards of Warner Robins and Alan Edwards of Tampa, Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hattaway and The Reverend Steve Alred officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Mrs. Alred will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie-in-state from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Alred's Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Flowers will be accepted, but for those who choose, may make donations to the Tabernacle Benevolence Fund.
