Anita Louise Vandall, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on a chilly Saturday, February 16th, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Anita brought warmth and love to everyone she encountered throughout her life.
A longtime resident of Adairsville, Georgia, Anita was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. As a homemaker, she created a nurturing environment filled with love and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on those she cherished most. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children: B.J Vandall Jr, Joe Vandall and his wife Michelle, Angie Underwood and her husband Orvil Wallace, Leisa Hodges and her husband James Montgomery, Ryan Vandall and his wife Kelsy Tordrup, CJ Collum, Mary Ann Rose, and Chase Hendrix. Anita was also a proud grandmother to 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored deeply.
Anita is survived by her siblings, Jean Moody, Andrew Walker Jr, and Mike Walker, who will remember her as a devoted sister and confidante. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Andrew and Roxie Walker, her husband Bryan Vandall, her sister Crystal Walker, and her son-in-law Chad Underwood.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anita's life at a funeral service on Friday, June 12th, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at the same location. Burial will take place at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Brother Jason Parker officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Orvil Wallace, Joe Vandall, Ryan Vandall, William Collum, James Montgomery, Noah Williams, Nathan Williams, and Charles Hodges Jr., honoring Anita's memory with their support and love.
Anita's life was a testament to the power of family, love, and resilience. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
