Obituary: Ann Lee Heath
October 15th, 1946 — December 15th, 2021

In loving memory of Ann Lee Heath (born October 15th, 1946) of Rydal, Georgia — on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, she passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Now reunited with the love of her life, Emmett Lee Heath, she is also preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Eleanor Lee, and her step-daughter, Alyssa Cornn.

"The one I could always count on."
"The sister I never had."
"The one who taught me to laugh out loud."
"My confidant."
"A true gift of love and friendship."

There are not enough words to describe all that she meant to the lives she touched. A lifelong Christian, Ann's heart was always called to help others and share their burdens. She was vital to the ministry of the historic Cassville United Methodist Church for nearly 20 years where she served as a lay speaker, shelter outreach organizer, and church events coordinator. She loved fully, shared the glory of God freely, and filled our family with hugs, jokes and beautiful laughter.

In the early '90s, Ann owned and operated Annie's Bar in Cartersville, Georgia. She was an ace shot with darts and helped the Annie's team win multiple tournaments. She enjoyed attending car races, organizing casino trips with her fellow church ladies, and joining trips to the hunting camp, Happy Gal Ranch. Ann was an exceptional cook, as comfortable with a deer loin as she was with the most delicious coffee cake you've ever tasted. She loved flowers and turned her front yard into a sanctuary for songbirds.

Ann Lee Heath is dearly loved and deeply missed. She is survived by her son, Michael Tidwell; granddaughter, Jordan Danielle Bagley (nee Tidwell) and her husband, Conner Bagley; daughter-in-law, Kasey Tidwell; as well as step-daughters Claudia L. Maybern and Merewyn Heath, and family friend Annaleigh Padgett. Also celebrating Ann's life are her beloved Sisters in Christ, Kim Davidson, Rose Mohon, and Wilma Wade; Pastor Gary Eastridge, his wife Heather and the Cassville UMC congregation; and her loving family: Joe E. Heath, George A. Heath and wife Carolyn, Judy Heath Long and husband Ronnie Long, Michael W. Heath and wife Jackie; Kyle J. Heath and wife Amber, Alyson K. Long and husband Frank Kecseti, Tony L. Morris and many nieces and nephews.

Ann and Emmett's ashes will be placed together in a vault at Cassville Cemetery with their beloved dog, Barkley. The celebration of her life will be held at Cassville United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 22 at 2PM — 150 Cassville White Rd NW, Cartersville, GA 3012. All are welcome to join; during the service we will have time for anyone who wishes to share stories and memories.

In lieu of flowers, Ann has requested for anyone who wishes to donate to Cassville United Methodist Church. The GoFundMe page is available here: gofundme.com/f/ann-lee-heath — all donations will go directly to the church to help with replacing a heat pump, contribute to the First Sunday Breakfast ministry, and continue her legacy of community outreach.
