Anna Alma Brewer, age 92, stepped into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Cartersville, Ga. on May 9, 2014.
Anna was born November 3, 1921 in Lewiston, Michigan to John and Mary Jane (nee Van Dusen) Williams. Anna married Weldon O. Dwelley on August 14, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gordon Williams of St. Louis, Mo. She is survived by her son, George (Sandy) Dwelley of Singleton, MI. , and a daughter, Marcella Henderson and Greg West of Cartersville, Ga. and a special daughter, Ginger Figueroa; grandchildren , Shelia Augustus of Wausau, WI., A. Isaac Dwelley of Singleton, and Miriam Dwelley of Gwinn, MI.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
During WW II, she worked for the Spartan Radio Manufactures in Jackson, MI and later years as a beautician. She traveled extensively with her second husband, living from Washington State, Oregon, Virginia, Alabama, Venezuela, Missouri, and New York. Retiring in Oswego, NY, Anna was active in RSVP for 25 years. She loved being a volunteer at the O'Mara Visitor Center. As always one to be learning something –she passed that desire on to her children; she learned to play the violin at 79 years young. She played with the Oswego Valley Fiddlers and In One Accord. Anna was Grand Marshall of the 4th July 2010 Parade in Oswego NY.
Anna will be missed by all who knew her and enjoyed her zest for life. Anna Fully Relied On God; this is how she signed her notes and letters, F.R.O.G.
