Anna Brooks

Anna L. Brooks, 78, of Cartersville passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Cartersville Heights Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born June 10, 1931 in Cartersville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Guyton and the late Jennie Brown Guyton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Brooks; her sisters, Beatrice Harris, Willie Mae Franklin, Christine Arnett, Mattie Stone, and Marie Walker; and her brothers, Bud Guyton, Griffin Guyton, Weldon Guyton, and Frank Guyton.



Anna was employed by Philadelphia Carpets until her retirement. She was a member of the Paulding Baptist Church. Anna also enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.



Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Sandra Guyton; her grandson, Scotty Guyton; her great-grandchildren, Skylar Guyton and Scotty Guyton, Jr.; and her brother Ralph Guyton.



Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Eastview Cemetery in Adairsville.
