Annelle Ellington

Annelle Turner Ellington, 88, of Cartersville and formerly of Atlanta, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Cartersville Heights Rehab after an extended illness. Born April 29, 1922 in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late R.T. Turner and the late Annie Williams Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Relford Lee Ellington; her daughter, Nanelle Turner; her sister, Frances Harris; and her brothers, Jack Turner and David Freeman.



Mrs. Ellington was a loving, loyal wife, and she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She retired from the Ivan Allen Company where she had been a bookkeeper. Mrs. Ellington enjoyed painting china, gospel music, and singing in the choir before her illness prevented her from doing so. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Grace Baptist Church.



Survivors include her children and their spouses, Renelle and Mike Mathis of Cartersville; her son, Gerald and Al Ellington of Jacksonville, Florida; her granddaughter, Tracie Strength; her great-granddaughter, Kayla Ray; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Turner of Gainesville, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.



Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Doug Harris officiating.



In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Children�s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation 1687 Tullie Circle N.E. Atlanta, Ga. 30329.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
