Mrs. Annie Orr Gresham, age 88, former resident of Merrill Gardens, 180 Woodrow Wilson Way, Rome, GA died Saturday, December 18, 2004 at a local hospital.Mrs. Gresham was born in Floyd County on March 19, 1916 daughter of the late James Jackson and Katherine Rebecca Hunter Loveless. She was a native of Rome and retired from Integrated Products. She was a member of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher. She was known for her famous baking. Mrs. Gresham is preceded in death by her husband, Devis Watts Gresham to whom she was married, December 20, 1934; two brothers, Hubert Loveless and Waldon Loveless; two sisters, Esther Montgomery and Bomer Gresham; three half brothers, Buster, Homer and Harper Loveless; and two half sisters, Evie Clemmons and Mae Lloyd.Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Betty Gresham of Decatur, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and John Van Horn of Rome, Marilyn Patterson and Rev. Lawrence Agan of Lindale; 11 grandchildren, Donna Painter, Kathy Peterson, Glenn Patterson, Melvin Patterson, Julie Hawkins, Lamar Gresham, Stacey Gresham Jones, Daniel Gresham, Todd Gresham, Heather Rodriquez, and Haden Wallace; 19 great –Grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services for Mrs. Gresham will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2004, in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with the Dr. Hugh Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.Mrs. Gresham will remain at the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.The grandsons have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home at 10:15 A.M. Tuesday: grandchildren, Lamar, Daniel, Todd Gresham, Haden Wallace, Glenn and Melvin Patterson. E.
