Mrs. Annie Trapp Smith, age 87 , of 101 Lamar Street, Rome passed away on Friday, September 30, 2005 at her residence.Mrs. Smith was born in Floyd County, Georgia on July 10, 1918, the daughter of Alfred Trapp and Georgia McCain Trapp. She lived all of her life in Floyd County and was a member of West Rome Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith attended Coosa School and Possum Trot School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hudon Smith on October 21, 1966, to whom she was married August 5, 1939 . Also preceding her in death were her parents.Survivors include her two sons and daughter in-law, Don Franklin Smith of Rome and Larry W. and Linda Smith of Marietta; two daughters and son in-law, Gail Cosper of Rome and Judith and Billy Bell of Knoxville, TN; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive.Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bell officiating. Interment will follow Mt. Alto Baptist Church Cemetery.
