Ardell Huskins, 92, of White died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at her daughter�s residence. Born in Ranger County, Tennessee on July 18, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Ern Kitts and the late Tinnie A. Crowe Kitts. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, George Washington Huskins; her second husband, Jasper Lee Adkinson; her son, Elmer Huskins; her daughter, Elsie Davidson; her step-children, George Billy Huskins, JoAnn Dyer, Bernice Croy, and Rev. James Roy Huskins; and her sisters, Lorine Dunlap, Pauline Kitts, and Cora Gaines.
Survivors include her children, Willa Mae Miles of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jimmy & Ruth Huskins of Dayton, Ohio, Roscoe & Jeanette Huskins of LaFayette, Doshia & Terry Williams of Calhoun, Mary & Richard Clark of Cartersville, Margaret & Bob Ray of White, Woodrow & Donna Huskins of Cartersville, and George and Jennifer Huskins, Jr. of Cartersville; her step-son, Richard & Tootsie Huskins of Kokomo, Indiana; her brother, Woodrow & Lucille Kitts of Knoxville, Tennessee; her sisters, Lelia & Jim Carpenter and Lucille Napier of Knoxville, Tennessee; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 30, 2009 at the Open Bible Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Larry Huskins, Rev. James Bennett, and Rev. Mack Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tommy Huskins, Nathaniel Scott Huskins, Edward Davidson, Lamar Ray, Robert Ray, and Dennis Huskins. Honorary Pallbearers are Grant Davidson, Roy Huskins, and Daniel Huskins.
The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 7 p.m. Monday until the service hour on Thursday.
