Arletta Horton

Arletta Marie Horton (Johnson), 70, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. Born on July 29, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Delmer L. Johnson and the late Juanita H. Gates Johnson. Arletta is also preceded in death by her sister, Arletta Faye Johnson; and grandson, Tyler VanDyke.

Arletta was an avid collector. She loved to collect dolls, Christmas lighthouses, lanterns, and rings. She was known for having a ring to wear with each outfit she had. Arletta's love and memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband, Larry Horton; son, Kevin VanDyke (Santana); stepdaughter, Natalie Cummingham (Rick); brother, Leo Johnson; brother, James Johnson; sister, Julie Jenkins; sister, Ida Mitchell; granddaughter, Pheonix VanDyke; and several nieces and nephews.

Arletta's family will be having a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Sunset Memory Gardens. Burial will follow shortly. Family and friends are welcome to share stories they have of Arletta during the service.
