Armando Elizondo Segovia, 56, passed away on June 25, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1969, in Monclova, Mexico, to Alberto and Maria Elizondo, who preceded him in death.

Armando was a proud son of Mexico whose love for his heritage was evident in everything he did. He was also a devoted Catholic whose faith remained an important part of his life. He held a special devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, finding comfort and strength in her loving protection. His faith guided him through life's blessings and challenges and remained a steadfast foundation for the way he loved his family and treated others.

For more than 25 years, Armando worked as a taxi driver, where he built lasting friendships and became a familiar face to so many in his community. He genuinely enjoyed talking with people and never met a stranger. Whether sharing a story, offering a joke, or simply listening, he had a remarkable ability to make people smile. His larger-than-life personality could light up any room, and while he was a big man in stature, his heart was even bigger.

On October 7, 2002, Armando married the love of his life, Carrie Hollis. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. He was a devoted husband and a proud, loving father to his daughter, Kylie, and his son, Eugene. His family was his greatest blessing, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Armando embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved fishing, spending time at the shooting range, and gathering with family and friends to celebrate life's special moments. He enjoyed sharing laughter over a glass of tequila or an ice-cold Corona Extra and believed that the best memories were made in the company of those you love. His warmth, humor, generosity, and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carrie Hollis Elizondo; his daughter, Kylie; his son, Eugene; his siblings, Martha, Javier, Roberto, Velia, Elda, and Eduardo; his beloved nieces, Rubi and Jaz; his dear friends Tawana, Brian, and Daniel, whose friendship meant so much to him; and many extended family members and cherished friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Armando's legacy of faith, love, laughter, generosity, and unwavering pride in his family and Mexican heritage will continue to inspire all who knew him. His joyful spirit, kind heart, deep devotion to God and Our Lady of Guadalupe, and the love he shared so freely will never be forgotten.

May the Lord welcome Armando into His eternal kingdom, where he is reunited with those who have gone before him. Through the loving intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, may he find everlasting peace in the presence of God.

Armando Elizondo Segovia, de 56 años, partió a la Casa del Padre el 25 de junio de 2026. Nació el 27 de agosto de 1969 en Monclova, Coahuila, México, hijo de Alberto y María Elizondo, quienes lo precedieron en el encuentro con el Señor.

Armando fue un orgulloso mexicano que llevó sus raíces en el corazón durante toda su vida. También fue un hombre de profunda fe católica. Su devoción a la Santísima Virgen de Guadalupe siempre ocupó un lugar muy especial en su vida, encontrando en ella fortaleza, consuelo y esperanza. Su fe lo acompañó en cada etapa de su camino y fue el ejemplo con el que amó a su familia y trató a quienes lo rodeaban.

Durante más de 25 años trabajó como taxista, profesión en la que hizo grandes amistades y dejó huella en muchas personas. Nunca conoció a un extraño; para Armando, todos eran amigos. Siempre tenía una historia que contar, un chiste para sacar una sonrisa o una palabra amable para quien la necesitara. Su personalidad alegre iluminaba cualquier lugar al que llegaba. Era un hombre grande de cuerpo, pero aún más grande de corazón.

El 7 de octubre de 2002 unió su vida en matrimonio con el amor de su vida, Carrie Hollis. Juntos formaron un hogar lleno de amor, fe y hermosos recuerdos. Fue un esposo ejemplar y un padre orgulloso y amoroso de su hija, Kylie, y de su hijo, Eugene. Su familia fue siempre su mayor tesoro y la razón de su esfuerzo diario.

Armando disfrutaba de las cosas sencillas de la vida. Le encantaba ir de pesca, pasar tiempo en el campo de tiro y reunirse con familiares y amigos para celebrar cualquier ocasión. Disfrutaba compartir un buen tequila o una Corona bien fría mientras convivía, contaba anécdotas y hacía reír a todos. Creía que la vida debía vivirse con alegría y que los mejores momentos eran aquellos compartidos con la gente que uno ama.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Carrie Hollis Elizondo; su hija, Kylie; su hijo, Eugene; sus hermanos Martha, Javier, Roberto, Velia, Elda y Eduardo; sus queridas sobrinas Rubi y Jaz; sus entrañables amigos Tawana, Brian y Daniel, cuya amistad significó mucho para él; además de muchos familiares y amigos que conservarán por siempre su recuerdo en el corazón.

Aunque su partida deja un profundo vacío, el legado de Armando permanecerá vivo en su fe, en su alegría, en su generosidad, en el amor por su familia y en el inmenso orgullo que siempre sintió por México. Su sonrisa, su buen humor, su gran corazón y la forma en que hacía sentir especiales a quienes lo rodeaban jamás serán olvidados.

Que el Señor lo reciba en Su Reino y le conceda el descanso eterno. Que, por la intercesión amorosa de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, encuentre la paz eterna junto a Dios y se reúna con sus seres queridos que lo antecedieron en el camino.
