Asher Abernathy, 3 week old son of Kyle Abernathy and April Hight Abernathy, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Scottish Rite Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Asher was born on December 14, 2012 in Rome. In addition to his parents, survivors include his sister, Amelia Abernathy; maternal grandparents, Pete and Robin Hight of Cassville, and Lynn and Daphne Abernathy of Adairsville; great-grandparents, Maybelle Stewart of Cassville, and Troy and Shirley Hight of Cartersville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Asher was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Gordon Stewart, Cleo Hight, Elihue and Zonnia Abernathy, Doug Reynolds, Annie Bowers Reynolds, and Mifflin Bowers.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church at Liberty Square with The Reverend Keith Reid, The Reverend Harold Jones, and The Reverend Larry Woodson officiating. Private interment will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in White. The family will receive friends at the Church, one hour prior to the service.
