Aylmer Ruff

Aylmer H. Ruff, 89, of Cartersville died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Starcrest Nursing Home. Born August 15, 1920, she was a lifelong resident of Bartow County and was the daughter of the late Stiles Gordon Howren and the late Mary Ellen Nolan Howren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Cecil Ruff; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Norman Sanford of Cartersville and Martha and Charles Sanford of Ellijay; her son, Tim Ruff of Cartersville; her brother, Fred Howren of Cartersville; her sisters, Gladys Cox and Emma Gilmer, both of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Scott Sanford, Iris Davis, Stiles Sanford, David Sanford, Jeff Sanford, Michael Sanford, Joshua Wilson, Luke Ruff, and Leah Mader; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Sanford officiating. Mrs. Ruff�s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday until the funeral hour at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
