Mrs. Barbara Lee Andersen, 84, of Cartersville, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Townsend Park Health and Rehab. She was born in Streator, Illinois on April 9, 1933 to the late Frank King and Thelma Sheffield King.
Mrs. Andersen will be remembered most for her laughter and always having a smile. She was a huge Clay Aikens and Elvis fan and loved to dance. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Andersen, Sr.; a son, Troy Andersen; a brother, William King; and a sister, Roma King.
She is survived by her children, Rene Forsyth (Robin), Walter Andersen, Jr. (Kathy) and Russell Andersen (Debbie); eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Aunt Lois Pottinger of Springfield, Missouri.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Ottawa, Illinois.
