Barbara Crumbley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Cartersville, GA. Born on Friday, May 28, 1943, Barbara lived a life rich with love and devotion to her family and community.
Barbara dedicated 39 years of her professional life as a café manager with the Bartow County School System, where her warmth and kindness touched the lives of countless students and colleagues. Known for her nurturing spirit, she was equally devoted to her hobbies, particularly gardening, where she found joy and tranquility in tending to her flower garden. Barbara also loved cooking for her family, with gatherings often filled with laughter, love, and delicious meals prepared with heart.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Crumbley, who stood by her side throughout life's journey. She leaves behind her son, Ricky Ledford and his wife Lara; her cherished stepdaughters, Sherrie Cline, and Denise Crumbley Curtis. Her legacy of love continues with her grandchildren, Jeremy Crumbley (Paige), Ashley Curtis, Kayla Kindred (Alex), and Crystal Greenfield (Ryan); and her great-grandchildren, Emily Kindred, Wyatt Crumbley, and Everly Crumbley; she is also survived by her sister Audrey Yvonne Pickel, who shared a lifelong bond of sisterhood, along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
Barbara is reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Aldon Clay Davenport and Bessie Mae Gravitt; her son in law, Cliff Cline; and her siblings, Jerry Maxine Edwards, Richard Lee Davenport, and Howard Davenport.
Services to honor and celebrate Barbara's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Reverend Dale Henderson and Mr. Eddie Davenport will officiate. A visitation will precede the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, providing a place of peace for family and friends to gather and remember.
Pallbearers will include Jeremy Crumbley, Alex Kindred, Ryan Greenfield, Shane Pickel, Kevin Pickel, and Michael Davenport. Honorary pallbearers are Don Allred and Sam Edwards.
