Barbara Fortner

Barbara June Fortner, age 87, departed this life on Monday, May 27th surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Fortner was preceded in death by her parents, Buford Leonard and Lois Mullinax Leonard; husband, Robert Fortner; grandson, Joshua Lee Moore; and brother, Jimmy Leonard.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Baker; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Patty Fortner; son, Wesley Fortner; brother, Michael Leonard; and sister, Renee Leonard Harrington.

Mrs. Fortner was a music lover and talented pianist. She loved to play piano at her church, the Senior Center, and various local nursing homes.

The family will be having a graveside service and interment at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Greg Hall officiating. Oak Hill Cemetery's address is 319 N Erwin St. Cartersville, GA 30120, Section 12.
