Barbara Ann Richardson, 56, of Cartersville passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born April 25, 1954 in Hanover, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Norma Jean Druck Gross and the late Flavus William Gross, Jr.
Barbara was the owner of HollyHocks Gift Store in Cartersville, Canton and Rome. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and was of the Presbyterian faith. Barbara was also a member of the Bartow Business Connection and the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, George Kolasinski of Cartersville; her mother, Norma Jean Gross of Cartersville; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Debra and Jim Bennett of Austin, Texas and Pam and Doug Boling of St. Petersburg, Florida; her brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Terri Gross of St. Petersburg, Florida; her nieces and nephews, James Bennett, Jessica and Eric Oliva, Taylor Gross, and William Gross; her step-children, Seth and Rita Kolasinski of Meridan, Connecticut and Eric and Marcie Kolasinski of Moosup, Connecticut; her grandchildren, Patrick, Noah, Austin, Justin, and Alivia; and many friends.
A celebration of Barbara�s life is planned for 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Kathy Roonan officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 � 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309 or to Advocates for Children, P.O. Box 446, Cartersville, GA 30120.
