Barbara Rogers

Barbara Ann Rogers, 70, of Cartersville, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at Kathy Cares Hospice. Born in Roswell, Georgia on April 14, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Homer Lackey and the late Annie Cobb Lackey.
She was a member of the Cartersville Church of God and a charter member of the American Legion, Post #344 of Kennesaw. Mrs. Rogers worked with AI G Insurance Company before retirement. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Jeanette Lackey-Cannon and Donald Lackey.
She is survived by her loving husband, George Rogers; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Clifton Boddie and Tracy and Pete Marcellini; her grandchildren, Tony Marcellini, Brent Hogan and Bethany Marcellini; her great-grandchildren, Brody Schulwolf-Hogan and Taylor Hogan; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Libby Lackey and Tommy and Margo Lackey; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 A.M., Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Pete Marcellini officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M., Thursday at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
