Bernice Riggins

Mrs. Bernice B. Riggins, age 78, of 18 Cherry Street, Rome, GA, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004, in a local healthcare facility.A native of Rome and Floyd County, Mrs. Riggins was born on July 20, 1924. She graduated from Model High School and attended and graduated for Carol Lynn Business School. Mrs. Riggins had been a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Shanklin-Attaway Post #5 Ladies Auxiliary, and Callier Springs Country Club. Prior to retirement Mrs. Riggins was associated with General Electric of Rome as a secretary for several years. She enjoyed collecting antique glassware.Mrs. Riggins is survived by her husband, Earl L. Riggins. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Riggins will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Floyd Memory Gardens with Mr. J.
