Betty Allen

Betty Ann Allen, age 64, of 36 Johns Drive, Rome, GA, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, from injures sustained in automobile accident.Betty was born on October 7, 1939 in Floyd County, the daughter of the late General Virgil McBurnett, Jr., and Lydia Morgan Allen. She was a resident of Rome and Floyd County all of her life and was a member of the East Rome Baptist Church. Prior to retirement she was associated with Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital for many years.She is survived by two sons, David Glenn Allen and Terry Lynn Allen, both of Rome; an adopted sister, Christina McBurnett, of Rome. Three grandchildren, Johnathan Allen, Nathan Allen and Justin Allen, also survive.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Prater officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
