Betty Heath

Mrs. Betty Jean Chapman Heath age 75, of Rome, GA, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, in a local hospital.



Mrs. Heath was born in Floyd County, GA on December 5, 1934, the daughter of the late William Clarence and Onie Mae Bennett Chapman. She retired from Wiseman Bakery. In addition to her parents Mrs. Heath was preceded in death by her husband, John Heath.



Survivors include a special friend, James Bright of Rome; three brothers, David Chapman, Donald Chapman, and Terry Wayne Chapman all of Rome; and two sisters, Mardene Baker and Shirley Gentry both of Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Oaknoll Chapel with Rev. Larry Bohannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel by 1:30 P.M.: Michael Heath, Jason Tudor, Devian Brown, Dustin Brown, Shane Bailiff, and Zackery Carter. The honorary pallbearer will be Scott Franks.
