Betty Hightower

Mrs. Betty Sue Pascoe Hightower, 82, of Cartersville passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Floyd Medical Center, following a lingering illness.
A native of Bartow County, born March 31, 1930, she was the daughter of the late E. Nora Griffin Pascoe and the late Henry C. Pascoe. Mrs. Hightower was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Hightower; a son, Randy Hightower; her parents; her sister, Jane Pascoe Firestone; her brothers, Reuben Pascoe, Charles Pascoe and Griffin Pascoe.
Mrs. Hightower was educated in the Cartersville School System and spent the greatest part of her working life as a secretary, first at Lockheed-Martin, and at retirement, Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta. She was a member of Sam Jones Methodist Church in Cartersville.
Mrs. Hightower is survived by two sisters, Ann Pascoe Nelson (Larry) of Cedartown and Elaine Pascoe Gregg (Ted) of Cartersville; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hightower will be held Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Dr. Wade Ash, a beloved cousin of Powder Springs, will conduct the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
