Betty Marie Melton Simmons

Betty Marie Simmons, 68 of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on August 19, 2024 at her home.  She was born on November 4, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Opal P. Rainwater; father Robert T. Rainwater Jr.; siblings Linda K. Voss, Sandra J. Crawford, and Robert T. Rainwater III; and a son, Kenneth R. Simmons.

Betty loved to spend time with her family.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, sewing, camping, and fishing.

Survivors include her husband, Hodges K. Simmons; daughter Teresa A. Junkin; sons Toby H. Simmons and Bradley L. Simmons all of Cartersville, Georgia; grandchildren Steven B. Simmons of Dallas, Georgia, Brandon L. Junkin, Austin H. Simmons, and Dakota L. Simmons of Cartersville, Georgia; great grandchild Sannovia of Cartersville, Georgia; and siblings Melvin Rainwater of LA, William C. Melton Sr., Shirley P. Tubman of Cartersville, Georgia, and Judy A. Rattigan of Florida.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.
