Betty Smith

Betty Doris Smith of Rydal, Georgia, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 7, 2022. She was born in Pine Log, Georgia on March 5, 1941 and is the daughter of the late Charlie and Gladys Ray.

Survivors include her husband, Hugh Lee Smith; sons Bobby Smith (Gail) and Barry D. Smith (Stacey Baker-Hale); grandchildren Amber Heath (Chris), Ashly Smith, Kayla Alvarado (Michael), Keri Smith, and Kyler Smith; great grandchildren Hayden Heath, Harlee Heath, Noah Williams, Kallie Williams, Aubrey Alvarado, Elijah Cole Alvarado; brothers Roy Ray and Donald Ray.

A funeral service will be held at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Eric Elrod and Rev. Randall Childers officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pall bearers will be Chad Ray, Jeremy Ray, Daniel Dobbs, Jeff Debord, Jeremy Huskins, and Darrell Elrod.
