Betty Waits

Betty Jo Waits, 64, of Cartersville passed away early Christmas morning at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born February 19, 1945 in Cartersville she was the daughter of the late Johnny Meeks and the late Nellie Jones Meeks Smith.



Betty Jo enjoyed fishing and going to yard sales. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rockmart, Georgia.



Survivors include her husband of 47 years Jack Waits; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Lynn Waits, and Ronnie and Beth Waits; her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Kenny Tanner and Tabitha and Kevin Teisort; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Danny Waits officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Creek Church Cemetery.
