Betty Weeks

Mrs. Betty Ann Weeks, age 60 of 957 Rush Chapel Road, Adairsville, GA, died Friday, December 3, 2004, at a local hospital following a sudden illness.Mrs. Weeks was born in Floyd County, July 4, 1944, daughter of Mariel Youngblood Tant and the late John Henry Tant and had spent her entire life in Floyd County. She was associated with the Floyd County School System for over 30 years, as a teacher's aid at the Model School Kindergarten. She was a member of the Rome Baptist Temple. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Floyd Tant and by a sister Katherine Tant Silvers.Survivors include her husband, Preston Weeks, two sons and daughters in law, Chris and Kimberly Faye Weeks of Rome, GA, John and Angie Weeks of Cartersville, Ga, two daughters and son in law, Donna and Michael Ray Laney and Vickie Weeks all of Rome, GA, mother Mariel Tant of Rome, GA, grandchildren, Heather, Todd, Brandon, and Kevin Laney all of Rome, GA, Dustin and Tiffany Weeks of Rome, GA, Madison and Grace Weeks of Cartersville, GA, nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ann Weeks will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 6, 2004, in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Goolsby officiating.
