Bettye Partee

Mrs. Bettye Partee, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, AL died Friday April 30, 2010 in a hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL.



Mrs. Partee was born in Greenville, GA on March 21, 1921. Shortly after her birth her family moved to Rome where she had spent most of her life. Mrs. Partee�s greatest joy throughout her life was her love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a former member of the Radio Springs Baptist Church and West End Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Partee was preceded in death by her parents Frank Brown, Sr. and Bettye Ledbetter Brown; her husband, Watson Lamar Partee; a son Jim Partee and a brother, Frank Partee, Jr.



Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Partee Peterson and Tom Peterson of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughter-in-law, Carol Partee of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.



A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Studdard officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel.
