Mrs. Billie Esther Hale, 69, of White died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Floyd Medical Center. Born February 24, 1940, she was a lifelong resident of Bartow County and was the daughter of the late Bill Alexander and the late Annie Dorothy Branton Alexander. Billie was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Earl Alexander.



Billie had spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her children. After her children were grown and left home, she began a second career as a cook with White Elementary School. Billie had also been employed with Cartersville Medical Center.



Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Edward A. �Pete� Hale; her children and their spouses, Karen and Wendel Williams of White, Lyndon Hale of Adairsville, Pam and Denton Murphy of Cartersville, Laverne and Tommy Reed of Taylorsville, Nina and Eric Scogin of Cartersville, and Jeremy and Tonya Hale of White; her grandchildren and their spouses, Kayla and Nick Parr, Jess and Brittany Williams, Andrea and Trey Layton, Drew Reed, Gable Waits, Jordan Hale, London Hale, and Keith and Randi Williams; her great-grandchildren, Chelsea Williams, Maddie Williams, Dakota Williams, and Hudson Parr; and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Hilda Alexander of Bradyville, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Terry Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Stamp Creek Church Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Jess Williams, Gable Waits, Drew Reed, Keith Williams, Nick Parr, Billy Alexander, Michael Alexander, and John Manual Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be John W. Alexander, Trey Layton and Travis Nix.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
