Billie Jennings

Mrs. Billie Jo Jennings, age 51, of 213 A Sunny Heights Drive, Rome, GA passed away suddenly on April 21, 2006 at a local medical center.Mrs. Jennings was born on April 20, 1955 in Chattooga County, Georgia, the daughter of Mildred Brown Barlow and the late Marvin Barlow. She had lived most of her life in Floyd County and was a member of Silver Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Jennings was employed for 10 years with Mohawk Industries working in the dye house as an inspector. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Jennings was married to Donnie Jennings on July 29, 1973. Mr. Jennings preceded her in death on October 31, 1989. Also preceding her in death was her father, Marvin Barlow.Survivors include two sons and daughters in-law, Donnie and Carmen Jennings of Gordon County and Jason and Jamie Jennings of Shannon; mother, Mildred Barlow, Rome; two brothers and sister in-law, Mike Barlow of Rome and Steve and Melissa Barlow of Rome; grandchildren, Curry Jennings, Kelsey Bowman, Dawson Bowman, all of Gordon County, Carrie, Kelsey and Myra Jennings of Shannon; one niece, Brooke Barlow and one nephew, Cory Barlow, both of Rome.Funeral services for Mrs. Jennings will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Chattooga County, GA.The family will receive friends at the Oaknoll Chapel this evening (Saturday) from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. At other hours the family may be contacted at her brother's residence, 717 Charlton Street, Rome, GA.Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home by 3:30 Sunday and include, James Blakeley, Cory Barlow, Randy Barlow, Sam Brown and Mark Brown.
