Billy Brock

Billy Henry Brock, 70, of Cartersville died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Emory University Hospital. Born December 17, 1938, he was a native of Bartow County and was the son of the late Roy A. Brock and the late Maebelle Ruff Brock. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Brock.



Billy was a carpenter by trade and an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.



Surviving are his sons, Billy Anderson Brock and Darrell Eugene Brock, both of Cartersville; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold W. and Geraldine Brock of Woodstock, Carl Lee and Bobbie Brock of Acworth, Jimmy Ray Brock, Sr. and Sandra of Ellijay, Michael E. and Patti Brock of Acworth; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty I. and Glen Hall of Armuchee, Jane and Trammel Owens of Cartersville, Carolyn and Larry Anglin of Ellijay, Inez Brock of Adairsville, Glenda and Johnny Hembree of Adairsville, and Patricia and Lamar Ray of Adairsville; his grandchildren, Pearl Georgia Brock and Perry Crawford Brock; and a sister-in-law, Clara Brock of Mississippi.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Greg Long and Rev. Buddy Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Etowah Valley Cemetery.



Serving as active pallbearers will be Billy Jordan, Griffin Padgett, Mark Brock, Bobby Mathis, Paul Adams, and Daryl Wade.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
