Billy Cannon

Billy Frank Cannon, 57, of Cartersville passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Cartersville on February 6, 1954 he was the son of the late Walter M. Cannon and the late Nell Sanford Cannon. Billy was an electrician and of the Protestant faith. He was a very loving father and grandfather. Billy loved hot rods, fishing, and traveling.



Survivors include his wife, Sandy Williams Cannon; his children and their spouses, Damon and Katie Cannon, Craig and Danielle Cannon, Jason and Mandy Cannon, and Kimberly and Chris Winslow; his step-children and their spouses, Leandra and Gregory Sorrow, and Brian and Mary Jarrett; his fourteen grandchildren, Nick, Emily, and Elizabeth Cannon, Dylan, Kayla, and Carly Cannon, Taylor, Callie, and Easton Cannon, C.J. Winslow, Greg, and Eryn Sorrow, Andy Sorrow, Crystal and Todd Gosslin, and Cody Lee; two great grandchildren, Chasey, and Kase Gosslin, and one on the way, Baby (Greg) Sorrow; his brothers and sisters, Nancy Duncan, Linda Cloer, Robert Scott, Harvey Pruitt, Terry Pruitt, Chris Pruitt, Jimmy Pruitt, Bonnie Willis, Caroline Thacker, Phillip Pruitt, Michael Pruitt, Kim Newman, and Rebecca Frazier.



Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. C.E. Popham officiating. Burial will follow.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.



Serving as pallbearers are Joseph Young, Gregory L. Sorrow, Gregory A. Sorrow, Brian Jarrett, Damon Cannon, and Terry Rampley.
