Billy Copeland

Billy Michael Copeland, 69, of Cartersville Georgia went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on September 12, 1952, he was the son of the late Billie Copeland and the late Rachael Copeland. He is also preceded by his daughter, Stacey Copeland and his brother Barry Wallace.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Janet Copeland; sons, Brandon Copeland and Tyler (Cassie) Copeland; grandchildren, Savanna Knox (Will Kujaneck), Carson Knox, Trevor Copeland, Bryce Copeland, Abby Copeland, Caden Copeland, and Gracie Copeland; a special grandchild, Dustin (Jordan) Williamson; brother, Donnie Copeland; sister and brother-in-law Sidney and Eddie Anderson; niece, Rebecca Almon; and a nephew, Jeff Almon.

Billy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a family-oriented man who enjoyed singing with The Pathlighters, spending time in the mountains, camping, apple orchards, old cars, and old TV shows. He was a simple, sweet man who was always a peacemaker and no one had anything bad to say about him.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church with Richard Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the church's cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carson Knox, Bryce Copeland, Dustin Williamson, Jeff Almon, Jody Collins, Chad Knox, and Trevor Copeland.
