Billy Eubanks, 74, of Douglasville passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville. Born May 26, 1934 in Powder Springs, he was the son of the late Ralph Eubanks and the late Agnes McDonald Eubanks. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his daughter, Patty Eubanks.
Billy was a veteran of the United States Army. He was awarded a purple heart due to wounds he received while serving in the Korean War. He had retired from Austell Box Board where he had been employed as a supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Eubanks; his children and their spouses, Clyde and Angie Eubanks of Mobile, Alabama, Clint and Joy Eubanks of Clarksdale, Cindy and Dale Giddens of Adairsville, Carl Eubanks of Lithia Springs, Carmen and Floyd Hardin of Adairsville, and Ken Eubanks of Adairsville; his brother, Maxie Eubanks of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday with times to be announced in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Lee Garland officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery.
