Brother Billy Munday, 76, of White went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at his residence.
Born in Cartersville on July 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Reverend Bud Mundy and the late Mildred Cabe Mundy. He was also preceded in death by his son, Tony Munday.
Brother Billy was a musician, minister, and a dedicated member of Five Forks Baptist Church for several years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Willene Munday; his sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty Munday & Karen, Gary Shepherd & Shannon, and Brett Shepherd & Kim; and his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa "Baby Girl" Martin & Steve; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Five Forks Baptist Church in White with Brother Byron Tillery, Reverend Donald Law, and David Summey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Rydal. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dawson Munday, Rusty Munday, Gary Shepherd, Codi Shepherd, Brett Shepherd, and Britten Shepherd. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Fox and Ricky Bryant.
