Billy West

Mr. Billy James West, age 48, of 52 Willowrun Drive, Rome, GA, died Saturday, November 8, 2008.



Mr. West was born in Detroit, MI on November 13, 1959, the son of the late Billy West and Norma LeBlanc West. He was employed at Floyd Bowling Lanes and Classic Bowling Center as a mechanic. Mr. West loved bowling and playing golf. In addition to his parents, Mr. West was preceded in death by a sister, Flossie Hudgins.



Survivor include his wife, Judy Edwards West, to whom he was married on December 4, 1989; a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Carie Melton of Rome; a daughter, Julie Rhoden of Rome;four grandchildren and two sisters, Annette Hubbard and Sue West both of Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Patnode officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.



The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel by 12:30 P.M.: Frankie Edwards, Roger Edwards, Joe Rickman, Shane West, Kevin Hubbard, Seth Hubbard, Reggie Hubbard, and Bobby Shane Hudgins.
