Billy Wilson

Billy Wilson, 74, of Cartersville passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, Mr. Wilson was born September 4, 1936 and was the son of the late Homer Wilson and the late Stella Flowers Wilson. Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Buddy Wilson.



Mr. Wilson was a veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was an active Shriner. He was a member of the American Legion Carl Boyd Post #42 and was a big NASCAR fan.



He is survived by his son, Phillip Wilson of Cartersville; his grandson, Christopher Wilson of Cartersville; his former wife, Mary Clark; his brother, Howell Wilson of Marietta; his sisters, Christine Moreland of Michigan and Shirley Bozeman of Cartersville.



Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends on Friday for one hour prior to the service.
