Ms. Blanche Twilley Pittman, age 85, of 105 Old Airport Road, Rome, GA, died Monday, December 22, 2008 at her residence.
Ms. Pittman was born in Floyd County, GA, on March 20, 1923, the daughter of the late John Alvin Twilley and Minnie Bell Blankenship. In addition to her parents Ms. Pittman was preceded in death by a son, Wade Pittman.
Ms. Pittman is survived by a daughter, Donna Pittman; three sons, Richard Pittman, Bruce Pittman, and Phillip Pittman; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Christine Gill and Beatrice Kerr.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Max Tucker and Rev. Gerald Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel.
