Bob Cates, 75, of White passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on February 11, 1945 in Spartanburg, South Carolina he was the son of the late Robert Cates, Sr. and the late Linda Boman Cates. He was also preceded in death by his son, Andy Cates; and his brother, Terry Cates.

Survivors include his wife, Raydene Boss Cates; his daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and William Silvers; his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Teresa Cates; his grandchildren, Westley Silvers (Hope), Mandy Wheeler (Devin), Karlie Silvers (Kyle Ledford), Abby Cates, Noah Cates, and Nathan Cates; and his great-grandchildren, Braylen Silvers, Georgia Silvers, and Judah Silvers.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at White United Methodist Cemetery with Reverend Ronnie Richardson officiating. A private visitation for family only will be held Friday, March 20, 2020 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Mitchell, Lloyd Mitchell, Lester Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Devin Wheeler, and Kyle Ledford. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gene Mitchell and Jackie Mitchell.
