Bobby James Fox, a beloved resident of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Friday, June 5th, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on February 21st, 1964, James was a man of unwavering dedication, both in his personal and professional life.
James is survived by his loving daughter, Melissa Fox, and his cherished grandchildren, Lexie Collum, Iain Brown, Emma Fox, and a grandchild on the way, Zaylee James. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Mary Wade Lowe; siblings, Billy Fox and wife Rosebud, Connie Flowers and husband Ricky, Larry Fox, and Sue Garrett and husband Daniel; along with numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his kindness and generosity.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Millie Hufstetler Fox; his daughter, Nikki Nicole Fox; and his sister, Diane Blackmon.
James' life was marked by a commendable over 45-year career at Bartow Paving, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, particularly in carpentry, and enjoyed building onto his home. Bobby had a passion for souping up his Chevrolet Monte Carlo, a testament to his love for mechanics and detail.
Despite his stubborn nature, James' heart was filled with love, especially for his grandchildren, whom he adored beyond measure. His legacy of love and craftsmanship will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A funeral service to honor James' life will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA, on Monday, June 8th, 2026, at 1:00 pm, officiated by Joe Vandall. Friends and family are invited to a visitation at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on the day of the service in the chapel. Bobby will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Andy Atkinson, Anthony Atkinson, LC Poole, Corey Lowe, Laramie Fox, and Hambone, all of whom held a special place in Bobby's life.
Arrangements are provided by Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Bobby James Fox will be dearly missed, but his spirit and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
