It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Rastus Ingram, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left us on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at the age of 83. Bobby was born on Thursday, September 3rd, 1942, in Ballground, Georgia, and resided in Cartersville, GA, where he touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness.
Bobby dedicated his career to Lockheed, where he worked as an Inspector. Outside of work, Bobby was a man of many passions. An avid golfer, he spent countless hours perfecting his swing on the greens. He also found joy in the freedom of riding his Harley through the mountains, embracing the open road with a spirit of adventure.
A gifted musician, Bobby possessed the rare talent of playing any instrument by ear, even if he had just picked it up. His love for music extended to karaoke, where he often entertained friends and family with his performances.
Bobby is survived by his loving children, Angie Tipton (Mike) and Kelly Lance (Mike), his cherished sister, Jeri Bishop, and his close friend, Charlotte Monroe. He also leaves behind his stepson, Terry Allen, and step-granddaughter, Kelly Allen, along with numerous close family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rastus and Louise Ingram, his wife Elsie Wilkerson Allen, and his siblings, Larry, Laverne, Richard, and Brenda, who have now welcomed him into their eternal embrace.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Bobby's honor at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA, on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a life well-lived.
