Bobby Vaughn

Mr. Bobby Todd Vaughn, age 65, of 19 Fortune Street, Rome, GA died Monday, November 1, 2004 at his residence.Mr. Vaughn was born in Jackson County in Alabama on September 29, 1939 son of the late Milford C. Vaughn and Sylvia Faye Todd Vaughn. He served in the United States Army, worked in construction, and retired from Shuttletran. Mr. Vaughn was a member of Shanklin- Attaway Post 5 of American Legion, member of VFW, and a dedicated member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church. He loved his grandchildren, trading, and playing Bingo. Mr. Vaughn is preceded in death by his parents; son, Rayford "Ray" Allen Vaughn; two brothers, Rayford Vaughn and Billy Vaughn; sister, Wanda Faye Vaughn.Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Marie Sosebee Vaughn of Rome, GA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Timmy and Mary Vaughn of Calhoun, GA,Travis and Melanie Vaughn of Calhoun,GA, Todd and Ani Vaughn of Rome, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Tom Dominy of Calhoun, Beth and Terry Rose of Rome; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Peggy Vaughn of Fort Payne, Al, Wayne and Brenda Vaughn of Cartersville, GA, Micky Vaughn of Taylorsville, GA; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Ronnie Davis of Rome, GA, Tammy and Terry Dean of Taylorsville, Karen Dennis of Fort Payne, Al, Debra and Harold Cagle of White, GA, and Pat Hight of Calhoun, GA.Funeral Services for Mr. Vaughn will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2004 in Way of the Cross Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Lindsey and J. Parnick Jennings Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Vaughn will lie-in-state at 10:00 A.M. till funeral hour on Wednesday in Way of the Cross Baptist Church.The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet at Way of the Cross Baptist Church at 10:15 A.M. Wednesday: Jason Hubbard, Johnny Hubbard, Tad Vaughn, Richard Vaughn, Jackie Vaughn, Keith Vaughn all nephews, Michael Cash, and special friend, Kevin Allmon. The Honorary pallbearers will be: J.L.
