Boyce Litton

Boyce N. Litton, 82, of 66 E. Main St., Kingston died Monday, August 27, 2007 at the Heartland Hospice House in Cartersville. Born in Lindale on October 21, 1924, he was the son of the late Horace and Pauline Nichols Litton and the husband of the late Hazel Greenwood Litton. Boyce was a self-employed barber and had worked as a security guard with Atlantic Steel for 10 years. He was a member and deacon of Kingston Baptist Church. He also served aboard the USS Price during World War II.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Litton of Clearwater, Florida; his sisters and brother-in-law, Lovonia Kinsey of Armuchi and Sonja and Tony Durmo of Carrollton, GA and his brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Doris Litton of Lindale, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Kingston Baptist Church with Rev. Don Hazel officiating. Burial will follow at Raccoon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Boyce's nephews will be serving as pallbearers, and they are: Bruce Litton, Phil Litton, Steve Litton, Dalton Litton, Andrew Litton, and Adam Litton. Honorary pallbearers are Ronny Casey, Tom McDow, Doyle Waters, Glenn Thrash, Dale Roberson, and Jackie Gentry. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the church by 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Kingston Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Heartland Hospice, 9 Medical Drive, Cartersville, GA 30121.
